Very nice cream white with a feathered rose eye and crimped rose petal edge. Typically produces around 20 buds per scape once established and has a long bloom season. A very good Daylily.
Suitable for 5 litre capacity containers or spaced 18" between plants in the border.

Please note flowering period can be affected by positioning and seasonality factors. By selecting varieties with different flowering periods you will get the longest period of bloom.

It is often said that dormant varieties are the absolute hardiest but all offered varieties have been extensively trialled here and all are hardy.
Ploidy - Tetraploid
Ploidy - In layman's terms ploidy is the number of chromosomes a variety has. Older varieties are nearly all diploids but modern day breeding techniques resulted in improved tetraploid varieties with three chromosomes. It is difficult to distinguish between them in general plant appearance, although diploids do have ever so slightly narrower foliage. As far as the blooms are concerned tetraploids have flowers with thicker, heavier substance and fuller form and are the very pinnacle of perfection and grandeur. Diploids are not so heavily textured and can be more graceful in appearance. They also tend to open earlier in the day even when it is colder. Diploids will usually grow and increase more quickly.

Paper Butterfly
Peach apricot with an enchanting watermarked lavender eye. One of the famous names in modern Daylily breeding and a multi award winner but always hard to find. You Angel You
Probably the most famous of Grace Stamiles celebrated breeding programme aimed at introducing top class doubles to the dwarf and miniature classes. You Angel You doubles about 70% of the time here with perfect scaled down rosette like flowers in pale cream with a prominent wine coloured eye. A very petite grower with re-blooming capacity. Absolutely charming. Planting Distance: As this is a very compact variety 12-15" between plants and a similar distance away from others of the small and mini varieties should be adequate. For container growing a 3 or 4 litre capacity container is ideal. Associating with other Daylilies: Other Daylilies that combine very well are: Mini Pearl, Pandora's Box, Snowy Eyes and Little Winecup. Plant association with You Angel You in mixed plantings: The black leafed 'grass' Ophiopogon nigrescens is absolutely ideal as the plant habit echoes that of the Daylily and the very dark almost black leaf colour accentuates the bold eyed beauty of the flowers. Other plants that look very well with 'You Angel You' are Garden Pinks [Dianthus allwoodii] such as the dark eyed white 'Cranmere Pool' and all white 'Haytor' . Ajuga Braunhertz, with it's dark coppery foliage can form an effective mat at the foreground of the Daylily itself.
